The OCS-R (Questionnaire for Observing Communicative Skills - Revision) is an observation based tool to assess communicative or communication-relevant competencies in children, adolescents, and adults with complex communication needs. Its basic idea is a multi-perspective approach.

The aim of the instrument is not to produce a single result based on the assessment of many different caregivers; instead, the idea is to reveal similarities and differences in the assessment of each individual caregiver as basis for individual support.
